The main business scope of out institute is the research,design,and application of new technique in byd-
roelectric poects.The Chief Engineer lin Guoqiang ,titled as the senior enineer with the same level as pro-
fessor,top-notch technical talent in Wenzhou,and the nation s out standing young scientist in bydroelectricity
,innovated the techniue of Xiaozi Lake Reservoir Subwater Rock Stopper Demolition in 1978.On january 21,1978
,there was a successful subwate demolition,and its result tumed out quite satisfactory. This is the second
subwater rock stopper demolition project, following the mirroring lake subwater demolition in out country,
whose technical achievement has been using nationwide.In 1981,he initiated the.Technique of High-frequency
vibrating lrrigation,which has won the fist prize in Science and Technology Achievements in Wuzhou,the silver
prize in National Spark Programe.the technique has been applied in many large-sige and medium-size projects
in Zhejiang Province,such as Maogang Reservoin,Nanjiang Reservoir ,and jizhu Reservoir ,which has yielded
fruitful results both socially and economically.
In receent years, out institute has obtained several national patents,namely,Automatically lrrigating
Methods of River Dam lmpervious Layer and Automatically lrrigating lnstallation,River Dam lmpevious Layer,The
former invention aims to upgrade the rechnique of High-frequency Vibrating lrrigation from mechanization to
automatization,while the latter one is a compound high-intensity impervious layer fitted in big dams built
for sustaining larger flow of water.
